GE’s installation at TED 2011 was focused on exhibiting artistic interpretations of some of their most innovative technologies. Artwork ranged from a wall of sculpted busts that, when paired with GE’s handheld ultrasound technology, allowed attendees to reveal hidden works of art beneath the surface, to a dynamic data visualization that synced with GE’s InBody scales to take the weight and BMI of the TED audience and compare it to national averages. Other installations included x-ray photography from artist Nick Veasey to Yves Behar’s prolific and design lust-inducing designs for GE’s Wattstation.
