Sub Rosa was invited by the TED Conference to celebrate creativity by hosting and curating a series of Late Nights at TEDGlobal in 2009 on behalf of ABSOLUT. Out of this request, Absolut Late Nights @ TEDGlobal were born.

The Late Nights aimed to unite art and music talent to create original content for the TEDGlobal conference explored the “Substance of Things Not Seen.” During the evenings of TEDGlobal ABSOLUT hosted attendees at Late Nights where salon-styled drinks were served and the audience was treated to performances from hand-picked collaborators. These collaborations allowed creative innovators to share their talent with TED’s exclusive community. The 30 minute performances were integrated with holographic technology that took real-time data feeds from the generative artwork being created live on stage and rendered it dynamically into 3-D visualizations.

The performances were considered a huge success and the TED Conference declared the program “the most successful Late Nights ever.” With the creation of behind the scenes interviews, performance footage, and original content documenting the process and experience from the artists’ perspective, the campaign gained significant traction online and helped to expose ABSOLUT’s unwavering commitment to being a supporter and patron of the artistic community.
