Applied Empathy is a monthly conversation series held at Sub Rosa’s studio in Manhattan. Each discussion features individuals who incorporate empathic behaviors into their professional and personal lives. In conjunction with a Sub Rosa moderator and audience, they discuss a unique theme pertaining to empathy and their respective careers.
To discuss the theme “Partners: Working and Living with Your Significant Other,” we were joined by our first all-couples panel. Josh Rubin & Evan Orensten, co-founders of the award-winning publication Cool Hunting, were paired with Rae & Noah Bernamoff, owners of the New York institutions Mile End Delicatessen and Black Seed Bagels. The evening was co-moderated by Michael & Caroline Ventura, partners in the noteworthy retail shop Calliope.
